Sigma Featured Staff Member Of The Week
Chloe is one of our coaches at Sigma Swim Fort Worth North (TCCNW) location. Today we interviewed her focusing on her past competitive swimming and coaching.
Q: How and why did you get involved in the sport of swimming?
A: I needed a PE credit for high school and I got inspired by the Olympics.
Q: What do you like the most about coaching?
A: I like helping kids succeed at something and learn a skill that could help them someday.
Q: What do you think was your greatest achievement as a swimmer?
A: My last race that I ever did. I was half a pool length ahead of everyone else and got my best time.
Q: Did you have any swimmers that inspired you when you were a completive swimmer and why?
A: Probably Ryan Lochte (yes, I had a crush on him).
Q: Are there any lessons do you think can be learned in swimming other than swimming?
A: It can teach you dedication. It’s not easy jumping into a cold pool every day, but eventually you either fall in love with it or you quit.
Q: What was your favorite stroke and least favorite stroke as a swimmer?
A: I was a breaststroker and a butterflyer. Hated backstroke. Still do with a passion.
Q: What do you like to do when you are not coaching?
A: Read, watch YouTube, listen to music, and eat good food.
