Sigma Featured Swimmer Of The Week
Asia is a 15-year-old swimmer that swims at our Sigma Swim Fort Worth North (TCCNW) location under Coach Jill. She attends Boswell High School in Fort Worth. Asia also swims for her high school swim team.
Q: How and when did you decide to become a swimmer?
A: I swim since the age of 5 years old through YMCA.
Q: What does the sport of swimming mean to you and what would you say if you were told that you can’t swim anymore?
A: Swimming is my life, I enjoy it.
Q: Who is your biggest supporter?
A: My mom.
Q: Are there any swimmers that inspire the most you and why?
A: The older swimmer give inspiration to try my best in what I do.
Q: Did you ever swim an event at meet that you did not like and how did you handle it?
A: Not really the only thing I don’t like is if I need to swim 100 butterfly.
Q: How has swimming impacted your social life and how do you deal with it?
A: I don’t have a lot of time so I need to manage school and sports which can be challenging sometime.
Q: What is your favorite and least event at a swim meet?
A: Definitely the butterfly.
Q: Are there any lessons you have learned, other than swimming, since you became a swimmer?
A: I have a lot of friends and I stay focus on my goals.
Q: What do you like to do outside of swimming?
A: I just go to movies and hangout with my friends.
Q: What are you dreams or goals for the future in swimming?
A: I would like to continue to compete all the way thru college. My goals is to be a doctor.
