Emily Huff is a 10-year-old swimmer at Sigma Swim's Fort Worth Northwest (TCCNW) location under Coach Brian. She attends Greenfield Elementary in Fort Worth.
Q: How and why did you decide to become a swimmer?
A: Started out just learning to swim but the longer I swam the more I loved it.
Q: What do you like the most about swimming?
A: Swimming all year round.
Q: What did like the most at your recent first USA Swimming sanctioned meets?
A: Hanging out with my swim friends.
Q: Do you have any swimmers that inspire you and why?
A: Missy Franklin because she proves hard work pays off.
Q: Are there any lessons you have learned, other than swimming, since you became a swimmer?
A: Never give up and keep trying until you get it.
Q: What are your favorite stroke and what is your least favorite stroke?
A: I really like freestyle and breaststroke is my least favorite.
Q: Do you have any family members that are involved in the sport of swimming?
A: No one in my family has ever been a competitive swimmer.
Q: What do you like to do when you are not swimming?
A: I love to draw or play outside.
Q: What foods do you like to eat before and after swim meets?
A: Before we get to the meet I eat pancakes for breakfast and love to eat tacos after a meet.
Q: Do you have any goals that you have set for yourself in swimming?
A: I would like to train for long distance races maybe 1000 meters, and possibly become an Olympic swimmer.
