Found the above helpful? Share with a friend! Fact of the week: Flip turns are not just a more efficient way to transition from one direction to another. Flip turns also transfer momentum/speed. If a swimmer enters the turn fast and executes the turn properly, the swimmer can carry much of that speed to the next leg of the swim.
