Found the above helpful? Share with a friend! Fact of the week: When swimming backstroke, most swimmers take 3, 4, or 5 strokes between the flags and the wall. This includes the final stroke used to rotate to their stomach. A swimmer should be able to turn over with either left or right arm. However, we often see swimmers turn over only with a preferred arm which leads to incorrectly timed turns.

How does my swimmer move up? Our group promotion standards are your guide to growing and graduating! Promotion times can be achieved in practice or swim meets. We prefer to see them happen at a swim meet! Have a wonderful weekend! The Sigma Team We're still growing. Know someone who would be a good fit on our staff?
